Provider List

For those seeking a clear diagnosis and treatment plan, related to cognitive decline/dementia, if possible, seek these three providers to assist with the care plan:

  • Neuro-psychologist: for evaluation and diagnosis of dementia and type

  • Neurology with a geriatric or dementia specialty: To follow as the primary specialist

  • Geriatric Psychologist: To follow as the behavioral provider. This is because most develop underlying mental health issues as the brain declines. 

 

Most of the providers on this list have been shared by other family caregivers. The list is not a complete list, nor is it a recommended list by any of our Board Members. This is meant to be a starting guide.

When doing your research for a specialist, please look for those that have Dementia or Alzheimer's specialties in hopes of receiving the best care for your loved one.
